New law aims to protect emergency vehicle workers

MERIDEN — As the crowd began to thin Friday, Meriden Fire Chief Trainor hovered near Gov. M. Rell's car, waiting to thank her for signing into law a bill that requires drivers in Connecticut to immediately slow down when approaching an emergency vehicle that stopped on or beside a highway.

Plaque Dedication - Hall of Fame

Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at the Connecticut State Fire Academy.

We are still on for 11am Wednesday for the dedication of the plaque. There will be a "brief" porgram and I would invite words from: CSFA President Lew Clark and State Fire Administrator Jeff Morrissette.
